Leadership Team

Krip Punja has been with HOYA Surgical Optics since 2011.  During this time, he has assisted HOYA in setting up the Global Headquarters in Singapore and various operations related initiatives. As VP, Global Research and Development, has the responsibility of leading global R&D operations across Singapore, Japan and the US. He is responsible for new product development and overall product portfolio management and plays an integral role in helping to create differentiation through product design and innovation. Krip brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in ophthalmic devices. Prior to joining HOYA, Krip’s experience included Director of Platform Products Development at Surmodics, California and Director of Pipeline Products at Abbot Labs.

Krip has a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Central Florida and an Executive MBA Degree from Claremont McKenna in California. His patents include surgical instruments for implantation of ophthalmic drug delivery devices.
